Did you ever feel that there should be a way in which you should get Gmail alert without actually opening the Gmail Inbox. A new Gmail Message alert just like Outlook? Well then I guess this is your luck day.
There is very cool app from Google called Gmail Notifier. The Gmail Notifier alerts you when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.


Now that’s really handy isn’t it? You can find the Gmail notifier installer here. Just download the app, put your Gmail user name $ password for the first time.

Enjoy the Gmail message alerts. Make sure you have internet connection while you are using this app as the Notifier contacts with the Google server on a periodic basis to get you the alerts.
